Very rare coin produced as a memorial to the supporters who lost there lives in the Hillsborough disaster.
This particular item is one of only 20 in the world (number 7) with the display box signed by Liverpool legends Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher.
My understanding is that these were commissioned by then manager Rafa Benitez, who donated £96,000 and organised for the 20 ‘limited edition’ sets to be produced.
The coin itself is gold and very weighty, featuring the famous Liver bird on one side and the names of the victims on the other, with a clock displaying the time 3.06. The time when the match was abandoned.
